I have a grandma who is confused about my mother's stroke coma, and then eventual brain death. My grandma is elderly and could not understand. Mackenzie patiently sat on the floor and explained for 20-30 minutes in a gentle way about the inevitable death of her youngest daughter. She was also incredibly gracious, and so careful with me and my family members. I am an 18-year-old senior this year and also a triplet, I have a younger 16-year-old sister and an older 26-year-old brother. She let me put lotion on my mother's hands, and was so sweet in explaining in the gentlest of terms my mom's "unilateral craniotomy".
