Mackenzie allowed me to contribute to my child's care and thus provided competent and professional care.
We traveled from another state for our daughter to receive care for her refractory epilepsy and work up for RNS. As a parent who is the sole care provider for our daughter, it was very difficult to step aside and watch others provide care to my child. Watching and standing aside, I began to feel like an outsider in my daughter's life. That all changed once Mackenzie took care of my daughter. Immediately, she recognized our family's needs and incorporated me into my daughter's plan of care. She allowed me to contribute to my child's care and thus provided competent and professional care. She was open in sharing knowledge and information which further increased our participation and made us feel like a partner instead of bystanders. She upheld BCH's mission statement by being a true leader and delivering the highest quality care to our child and family. Thank you, Mackenzie.
