Mackenzie took care of both of my parents on two separate occasions. She took care of my father last year when he was admitted with AKI associated with blockage caused by large kidney stones. He is not a happy patient, which he will agree with, and he can be very cranky, but she was so patient and intuitively knew exactly how to help him and care for him. I was so grateful she was there. Her experience was clear as she was able to manage him well. He felt safe and I felt satisfied he was in good hands. When my mom was admitted recently with altered mental status, weakness, sepsis associated with gangrenous gallbladder, Mackenzie was her nurse. I immediately recognized her because she had made such a big impact last year. She once again showed compassion, respect, and kindness along with efficient care. My mom was very confused, incontinent, and not herself. Mackenzie had to clean stool off the floor as the Depends do NOT contain anything as she tried to make it to the toilet. I never saw a hint of disgust or hesitancy. Mackenzie was gracious, strong, and compassionate. I was so thankful to have her take care of my parents the way I would have.
