Mackenzie Mann

Mackenzie Mann was nominated for her demonstration of nursing excellence during her Transition to Practice rotation. Mackenzie goes above and beyond to show compassion and practice family-centered care with Neonatal Intensive Care Unit patients and families. Several times, her preceptor shared how impressed she is with Mackenzie’s work ethic, knowledge application with her assessments, critical thinking to troubleshoot alarms, willingness to learn, and providing education/encouragement to the families to hold, bathe, and feed their tiny infants. Even in a difficult social situation, Mackenzie demonstrated professionalism by following the policy in the neonatal intensive care unit to assure the safety of the infant and the staff. Mackenzie collaborates easily with the healthcare team to promote safety and quality care for her patients.
