Mackenzie was my comforter, my rock to see me through my trauma.
I had a guardian angel looking over me, and her name is Mackenzie. Little did I know my 10-year colonoscopy screening would lead me to not getting the colonoscopy, but end up spending the night at Mayo due to heart issues. I was beyond blessed to have Dr. W monitor my heart rate and blood pressure (as I was waiting to get my colonoscopy) to notice my numbers were in the danger zone. It was Mackenzie, though, who was by my side from the time I was in pre-op around 9 am for my colonoscopy till the time I was transferred to a bed on the cardiology floor around 3 pm for observation.
I was scared, confused, and emotionally distressed. Mackenzie was my comforter, my rock to see me through my trauma. She was so compassionate, being by my side and interpreting in Layman's terms to me why and what was happening to me. I am so very, very thankful for Mackenzie and truly blessed that Mackenzie was watching over me. I am so grateful for Mackenzie's kindness, care, and professionalism. The Mayo as well as all patients under McKenzie's care are the fortunate ones to be in her presence and unwavering care and support. A true Guardian Angel was watching over me, and her name was Mackenzie! I had tears as I was transferred to the cardiology floor. Tears of gratitude for how lucky I was to be so very well taken care of by Mackenzie and so many other wonderful Mayo team members!
