My 37-year-old daughter is on the floor for a stroke. Madeleine was outstanding and cared for our daughter for 3 nights. Madeleine is very professional and caring and depicts the true meaning of a nurse. Compassion is just one of the many words to describe Madeleine’s personality. She knows her medical information and can translate it to her patients, so they have an understanding of what and why things are happening while in her care. She had a very professional interaction with her peers and Dr. G. During her shift on Wednesday, she was doing her hourly neuro check and realized our daughter was not responding as well as should be expected. Her quick actions alerted Dr. G and the rest of the staff to our daughter’s room for evaluation. That judgment call was crucial to getting our daughter into surgery to reduce skull swelling. Madeleine’s quick reaction at 12:30 am prevented a very serious life-threatening outcome. Madeleine stayed cool, calm, and professional.
