She was caring, attentive, responsive, informative, and vigilant to the needs of my daughter and grandson. She rolled, lifted, and turned her every which way to open her cervix.
My daughter went in as her water had broken, and it was time to start our birthing journey. While all the nurses who came in contact deserve praise, Nurse Madeline deserves a higher recognition. My daughter had a C Section with her first child in another hospital and it was very traumatizing to her from beginning to end, to the point that she had developed PTSD when it came to giving birth. While my daughter's water had broken she had not dilated and the baby had pooped making her fear level at the highest it could be. She had only dilated to one cm, and her hopes of a vaginal delivery were fading. When Nurse Madeline came in on Friday morning, she was a breath of fresh air. She introduced herself and said, "WE ARE HAVING A BABY TODAY!" Little did we know what was ahead of us. This nurse went above and beyond in caring for my daughter. She was caring, attentive, responsive, informative, and vigilant to the needs of my daughter and grandson. She rolled, lifted, and turned her every which way to open her cervix. By the time she ended her shift at 7pm she had dilated to 8 and her cervix had thinned. We certainly hated that she missed his arrival at 8:15 pm after all her hard work, but we will never forget her diligently helping my grandbaby come into the world. My daughter has called her DULA. She praises her every time she talks about having her baby. Madeline was our Godsend and we are so very grateful for her care. She will forever be spoken of as the GOAT (GREATEST OF ALL TIME) because she was amazing at her job. I can go on about her, but I will end this by saying thank you to Nurse Madeline for giving my daughter the greatest care and helping her deliver vaginally when so many had dampened her spirits prior to her due date. Please note that all the nurses who cared for my daughter were also amazing, and they all deserve some sort of recognition. I would say that all the staff that came in contact with us during our welcoming of my grandchild were pleasurably amazing.
