August 2024 Honoree
Madeline Ballard, RN
I got the devastating news that I lost my son in utero at 18 weeks. I was admitted from the L&D ER to Labor and Delivery. I was induced and Madeline Ballard was my Nurse. She was so loving and compassionate to my needs. The next morning I gave birth to my son and Madeline was there every step of the way. She cried with me, prayed with me, and admired our sweet baby boy. I got lucky that she was my nurse every day that I was there. I cannot imagine going through this situation without her. I didn't feel like she was just my Nurse, but my friend. I will never forget her and the love she gave to my son and me, and the compassion and kindness she brought at every turn. Thank you doesn't even begin to cover everything she did for us, but it is a start. Madeline, thank you for helping me heal even before I knew I was healing.
Thank you, Madeline, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
