Madeline Brantley, RN
I was a patient on 2North and I was having shortness of breath. I felt like I couldn’t breathe and I was scared. My nurse Madeline was so kind, caring, and attentive. I do not know what I would’ve done without her there by my side. She was helping me calm down so that I could try and catch my breath. She not only was doing her job as a nurse and assessing that I needed a non-rebreather but she also was helping me emotionally to help my breathing. Madeline never left my side during my time of need. She stayed with me until I regained my ability to catch my breath, and my oxygen levels were better. After I was settled she checked on me constantly. I felt so safe with her as my nurse. All the staff on the unit were great, however, Madeline was someone special to me. She was an Angel in the night.
