Madeline Feltman, RN
My mom was brought into the ER after going into a heart block. She was transferred to the ICU until they could install a pacemaker. Nurse Feltman was amazing to her and really did a great job of calming her down and making sure she received the best care until everything got worked out.
The Pacemaker was installed, but then had a problem when one of the wires dislodged. Nurse Feltman again did a great job keeping her calm and making sure that the anxiety of another surgery, 2nd in two days, didn't overcome her, and really did an amazing job taking care of her.
As I write this, my mom is being transferred to an acute care center for rehab. Nurse Feltman was not her nurse for the past two days, but made a point of stopping in to wish her a speedy recovery. The ICU is a busy place. Nurse Feltman provided exemplary hospital care, and really made a horrible situation bearable, and found the time to still make the human connection that so exemplifies what nursing is all about.
