No mom wants to spend Mother’s Day in the hospital. Maddie came up with the idea to give cards and a rose to each of our moms, including spouses of male patients that visited. Nurses and PCTs signed greeting cards and Maddie came in Sunday morning with beautiful, long-stem roses. My patient on Monday morning said, “The sweetest thing happened yesterday. The nurse gave me this beautiful rose and a card.” Her face lit up. Thanks, Maddie, for making the day special for so many.
