Madeline Smith, RN
Finding out my child has a kidney disease was devastating. My daughter was transferred to E17 for symptom management and assessment.
Madeline was the first nurse we met, and she was fantastic. She offered us support and reassurance throughout our admission. She helped to put my child at ease and took the time to explain everything to us in a child-friendly way for my daughter’s sake. She played with my daughter whenever she could and engendered the trust of us all.
My daughter developed a close relationship with Madeline and would look forward to when she was on shift. She gave my daughter a great deal of time and played many games.
Without Madeline's care and support, I don’t think my daughter would have coped as well being in the hospital and accepting change. We cannot thank her enough.
