January 2024 Honoree
Madelyn Pullen, BSN, RN
Maddie had a patient from Israel who needed surgery. The patient and family were Jewish and were going to be here over Hanukkah. The family was sad/concerned that they would not be able to light a Menorah while in the hospital. Maddie offered to bring in her own Menorah from home and helped coordinate with the hospital and a local Rabbi so that they would be able to go outside on the patio, light the Menorah, and celebrate Hanukkah. This meant a lot to the family. They were very grateful to Maddie for making the extra effort and making their hospital stay more enjoyable while being so far away from home.
Thank you, Madelyn, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
