Everything Madelyn does is driven by one purpose: helping nurses thrive and practice to the top of their potential.
Madelyn is widely known for her deep commitment to community service, not only within Henry Ford Hospital, but throughout our community. Her ability to inspire and engage nurses in meaningful involvement is truly remarkable.
Madelyn brings joy wherever she goes; on any given day, she can be found smiling, connecting, and building relationships throughout the hospital. She can hardly walk down a hallway without stopping to speak with someone. That says everything about the genuine connections she creates.
Throughout her career, Madelyn has been an extraordinary mentor. Whether guiding novice writers, supporting nurses new to the Magnet program, or simply being a trusted resource, she consistently makes herself available to help anyone in need.
Her influence on this organization’s celebration of nursing has been profound. From her leadership as a DAISY Coordinator to her partnerships with leaders across the hospital to support nursing celebrations, her impact is felt everywhere.
Madelyn has also been instrumental in partnering with nursing schools to make advancing education more accessible, ensuring staff are aware of opportunities they may not have otherwise known about. She tirelessly works to connect nurses with the resources they need so they can provide the very best care to their patients.
In ways both visible and behind the scenes, she has supported and uplifted every nurse at Henry Ford Hospital, whether they realize it or not. Everything Madelyn does is driven by one purpose: helping nurses thrive and practice to the top of their potential.
Her work exemplifies what it truly means to be a Magnet nurse. She leads by example, living our Magnet culture every single day. Thank you, Madelyn, for all that you have done for Henry Ford Hospital and for the greater Detroit community.
