Madison exemplifies excellence and humanity with every patient she cares for. We had a long-term patient who had suffered a trauma and was unable to be discharged due to placement needs and lack of funding. The patient was eventually discharged after approximately 190 days, in which the entire team watched the patient grow and improve.
Madison ensured the patient's birthday was celebrated prior to discharge. She personally went shopping to buy the patient shirts, shorts, socks, magazines, and other items that could be used after discharge. The patient was so surprised to be showered with gifts right before departure, and Madison ensured the patient had a birthday to remember with the team the patient had grown so fond of.
