“Nurses are really just angels in disguise”. You hear this phrase often but it’s rare that you get to experience it. I was fortunate to have experienced it one evening. I walked into my grandmother’s room, overwhelmed with emotions and full of questions as I had just learned minutes before that my grandmother was admitted to the ICU. This nurse must have seen the worry in my eyes and immediately explained everything that was done prior to my arrival. My grandmother was hooked up to several wires and tubes. She explained all their functions without me even asking. You don’t often get this level of treatment and kindness; I am forever grateful. Not only was she informative and kind to me, but She was extremely kind, gentle, and caring to my grandmother. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
