Madi made sure to come check on me and went back to get my phone and grab some photos of my little girl, whom I had very little time with before being rushed away. I can't even explain how much that meant to me.
Last April, I had my little girl, A. I had a long Induction, and come Friday morning when Madi came on shift, I was in active labor. She was my nurse throughout A's birth, and I was very thankful she was in the room with me. Every step of the way, she made sure I was comfortable. I was laboring on my side, and she was the one holding my legs and trying to keep the monitor on A throughout - it was quite an uncomfortable position for her, and she never once complained.

Once A was born, we found out I had a retained placenta and was rushed to the OR after significant blood loss. Everything turned out fine, but I was rushed out of the room, leaving behind my husband and newborn. My husband, terrified at what was happening with me, had to learn how to care for his newborn without me. Madi walked him through everything and made sure he was calm and collected and made sure to update him when she knew anything.

Once I was in recovery, Madi made sure to come check on me and went back to get my phone and grab some photos of my little girl, whom I had very little time with before being rushed away. I can't even explain how much that meant to me. That was above and beyond anything she had to do.

Once I made it up to the ICU, Madi walked A and my husband up to me, and let me spend time with my daughter. Again - no words can describe what that meant to me. Seeing my daughter again was exactly what I needed. I appreciate Madi taking care of my husband and our newborn when I couldn't be there and taking extra steps to ensure we were all cared for.
