When you are not feeling well, it can have an impact on several others. For me, included in my 'others' were my husband and daughter. While she wanted to be close to me, she was initially a bit intimidated by the hospital environment; however, I could see her intimidation evolve into excitement and genuine interest. Maddy held a conversation with my daughter and was obviously tuned in to what she was saying. My daughter looked forward to each visit that Maddy made to my room. Her mind was at ease and she was comfortable being with her favorite person in the whole world, her mom. Thank you for being a good listener and making my daughter feel just as important as me!
