Madison Horstman, RN
This quarter’s recipient of the DAISY award is Madison Horstman
Maddy’s nomination is as follows:
"Maddy was an amazing nurse and provided exceptional care to our Mother/Grandmother. She always had a positive attitude coming into work all weekend. She answered our questions and concerns professionally. Our family member was excited for her to come into work because of the relationship she built with her.
She was very knowledgeable, caring, and supportive. She made us feel like our family member was the only patient she had. Maddy was amazing!
She stayed on top of medications, ensured that the patient was comfortable, and explained what was happening. She was so good and really went above and beyond in her care.
Words cannot express how grateful we are for her! Keep being amazing. You truly make an impact, not only on your patients' lives, but on the families as well."
Maddy, BSN, RN is a dedicated Registered Nurse who recently transitioned to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She brings two and a half years of nursing experience to the team, spent primarily on PCU2. Maddy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Driven by compassion, empathy, and an open mind, she became a nurse to make a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients. She is excited to expand her advanced critical care clinical skills and continue delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in her new role in the ICU.
