If she was in a rush, we never felt it. She showed interest in my Mom's interests and made my Mom feel so special.
I truly do not know if I can put into words what Madison's care and compassion means to my family. We came to the ER and then ICU before moving to the 5B unit. Everything was very overwhelming and scary due to all the unknowns with my mom's health situation. I was at the hospital for long hours and Madison was so kind. My Mom has dementia but is typically very aware and independent. Madison took time to explain and make sure my Mom understood what was going on. If she was in a rush, we never felt it. She showed interest in my Mom's interests and made my Mom feel so special. She took time to explain tests and results and did everything in her power to ease our fears. We received a heartbreaking cancer diagnosis on Madison's day off. When she got back, she hugged us, checked on us, just as if she was family. My Mom had to go to the Cardiac floor due to some heart changes and she was in an altered state of mind. Madison did everything she could to reassure my Mom that it was best to move her. We had lost my dad to a heart attack 11 years ago. Madison knew that and that I was so scared! She hugged me and held my hand during the transfer. Our next few days let us know just how special Madison was! She would pop in and check on my Mom and my Mom's face would light up like I haven't seen since we started this journey! I could go on and on! The bottom line is that Madison has made an imprint on my family's heart and made a huge difference in my Mom's time at Baptist! I wish our whole stay could have been on 5B with Madison and the whole 5B team! Thank you so much!
