She was a wonderful support when I was experiencing anxiety. She helped me work through it and held my hand when I needed it most.
I was admitted to UW Health Swedish American Hospital for triple bypass surgery. Less than an hour after being transferred to CCU, I went into VFib arrest. I was shocked one time and given CPR by Madison Echeverria for approximately five minutes with ROSC. I was taken back to the OR with no significant findings. While in the OR, my two oldest children saw Madison still in my room, and she was crying. No matter how much training you have or how prepared you are to react to emergencies, we are all human when they happen. Madison was truly emotionally invested. Madison and I developed a close relationship over the next 11 days while in CCU. She was someone I listened to and trusted. When there were times I wanted to do more, she would explain why I needed to build up to it for each step. She was a wonderful support when I was experiencing anxiety. She helped me work through it and held my hand when I needed it most.
I truly believe I would not be here today if it were not for her dedication, knowledge, and compassion. My family and I are so blessed and thankful for Madison. She holds a special place in my heart and my life. We will forever have a special bond.
