We were absolutely blown away by the compassion, caring, and comfort provided by our nurse, Madison. She made sure our 8-year-old son, who was terrified and in a lot of pain, was well taken care of. She talked to him and us professionally, but also with empathy and a caring tone. What was an awful night, was turned into a bearable night by the presence, knowledge, and comfort of Madison.
When we did meet with Dr. W, he was the exact same way. Very knowledgeable, professional, to the point, but also compassionate and caring for our son. We are well aware that ER visits and nurses and Doctors aren't there to comfort, coddle or worry about feeling, they have a job to do and they need to do it and do it quickly. However, they were able to do this while still maintaining a level of human compassion that meant the world to us. We can't thank them enough.
