August 2023 Honoree
Madison Spencer, RN
After a knee replacement, 2 weeks after my surgery, I am still thinking of how special my nurse Madison Spencer was to me. I never had to call the nurse station because Madison always came to check on me. Madison always kept me informed of what was going on and why. Twice I tried to get out of the bed to wash my hands and bells went off and she was there before I could get out of the bed and to the sink. Madison really loves her job and it shows. She had to work a double shift and I told her that I was so sorry, but she said, “it’s ok I love my patients so we will be together for two shifts today” and all with a smile on her face. When it was time for me to go home she made sure to come talk to me about do’s and don’ts when I get home. She went through all of my discharge instructions very well. She has a passion for nursing and does an awesome job.
Thank you, Madison, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
