I was brought to SV as a patient after I fell from a tree. The whole staff was fantastic but I really appreciated Madi. I was in a lot of pain but felt very confined to my bed, which made me a little anxious. Madi was excellent at calming my nerves, talking me through the options I had in front of me, and letting me make these decisions on my own, often explaining the plus and minus of each option. More than anything, she really connected on a personal level and kept my anxiety low.

I have not been in the hospital in more than 20 years and did not really know what to expect. I really appreciate her thorough explanation as well as her dry sense of humor! As the week went on and I got a little stir-crazy, I think I was a little high maintenance but you would have never known it based on her attitude and actions. She rolled with the punches. She was gentle with me; I was in bad pain and she wasn't afraid to give me a little "tough love" when I was grumpy and difficult, what to do my directed therapy. If she connects to all patients the way she did with me, I bet there’s a very high recovery rate on that floor! Thanks for the hard work of the entire SV team, ER, Trauma Docs, Ortho Nurses, and Techs, but especially Madi.

Words cannot express the care Madi provided. You can tell Madi finds her job, helping people recover, rewarding. She is so caring, and uplifting, and always encourages D to keep going. No matter what D handed, Madi was there. From the smallest pill to the biggest task. Madi is a gem and a compliment to the staff at Stormont. Madi is truly an extraordinary nurse.
