Maggie treated our Mom with kindness and with a gentle heart. We could see that Mom enjoyed her caring touch and empathetic gestures.
Our mother was admitted to North Memorial Health Hospital after a long struggle with NASH with many health issues. Mom was a vibrant, smart, and loving person. Everyone who knew Mom, loved her. For most of her hospital stay, Maggie, her RN, cared for her through many shifts along with other nursing staff. Maggie and our mother had something in common - Maggie is also a vibrant, smart, and loving person.

After two days on the Medical Surgical unit, our Mom made the decision to say goodbye to everyone on this earth. She wanted to stay with us, but also knew it was time to go see Jesus, as she said she was ready for, the Thursday before she died. Saturday morning, she was placed on hospice on the Medical Surgical unit. On Sunday afternoon Mom died peacefully at 2:53 pm, with most of her family near her side.

RN Maggie was so kind and compassionate toward our mother and our entire family, as we regrettably went on this journey to say farewell. Maggie treated our Mom with kindness and with a gentle heart. She talked softly to our Mom while she and another nurse gave our Mom her last bath. We could see that Mom enjoyed their caring touch and empathetic gestures. We are a family of huggers. Our Mom gave the greatest hugs. Maggie received many hugs throughout the days she cared for my Mom and for our family. We shared tears with Maggie, and she shared tears with us.

Maggie is a DAISY Nurse for her compassion and genuinely caring manner during our time with our Mom at North Memorial Health Hospital. Thank you, Maggie.
