Today, Maggie is working as a Shift Unit Supervisor on 2nd Surgical. In spite of having less than two years of experience, she took this task head-on and did so joyfully. Yesterday, she had a team of five patients without a CNA for any of them. She had a very difficult day and still, she ended the day with a smile. Multiple times when she floated to our unit she took admissions and difficult situations in stride and always with her face beaming. It seems that she has a fountain deep inside her that fuels her with great joy and energy despite her circumstances. I wish that all nurses on my unit had a double portion of the kind depth of compassion, joy in spirit, and gentle strength that she delivers to her patients and anyone who crosses her path.

Maggie goes above and beyond, even when she is busy with everything that she is doing, she still goes out of her way to make sure everyone around her is doing all right. I try my hardest to make sure I can be helpful to everyone around me, but no matter what if I ask for help doing something Maggie will come as soon as she can. She also has an amazing attitude, I have seen times when she got multiple admits back to back and was the only nurse getting admits. She did not complain once and gracefully took all the admits and kept going on with her day. It is always a pleasure when I get to work with Maggie, she deserves this DAISY!!
