Maggie Killgore is a Clinical Quality Specialist on the Clinical Effectiveness Team. Her varied work history has given her experience collaborating with nurses, respiratory therapists and physicians. Dr. T-S, the hospitalist at Scottish Rite who nominated Maggie, wrote that her knack for collaboration has made her "an invaluable partner in developing the new, system-wide bronchiolitis guidelines."
By taking the average clinician's workload into account, and by developing tools that provide the data clinicians truly needed, Maggie and the team helped create a guideline that actually worked for caregivers. The end result was improved outcomes for patients, families and Children's.
Maggie also cultivated an excellent relationship with her Business Intelligence colleagues, working to develop a clinical application supported by real-time data, something other teams will use as a template. Being able to create productive working relationships across departments and disciplines is an invaluable asset for the success of Children's.
