Maggie went above and beyond for our daughter! My daughter was born with DORV along with TEF and spent 4 months at Cook Children's between the CICU and Stepdown Unit. Maggie made our family truly believe and know in our hearts that there were people taking care of my baby when I could not always be there, who genuinely loved her.
One thing specifically that comes to mind is while my daughter was in Step Down growing, waiting for surgery, Maggie made this incredible thermometer milestone chart so we could count every single gram from 3KG until we would arrive at 4KG and be able to have surgery! It's hard for me to express how much this meant to me and how supported I felt during such an incredibly tough time in my life, but just know that it meant the world to us! Maggie made all the difference for us and I am so happy to be able to nominate her for recognition of not only being a wonderful nurse but a wonderful person!
