I am honored to nominate the Magnet Ambassador Committee for the 2025 DAISY Team Award in recognition of their exceptional dedication, leadership, and passion for excellence. This remarkable team went above and beyond to support Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to advancing the Magnet Model and fostering a culture of nursing excellence.

Representing a diverse range of departments—including Adult Services, Recuperative Skills, Home Health, Emergency Department, Maternal-Child Health, Inpatient Palliative Care, and Coordination of Care—these individuals united as champions of change to prepare the medical center for its prestigious Magnet site visit. Their outstanding contributions included:

Planning and hosting the 3-day Magnet Fair
Organizing Magnet Monday events, such as:
Paws and Relax (therapy dog visits)
Coffee, Tea, & EBP (Evidence-Based Practice discussions)
Guided Meditation
Soaring to New Heights (Professional Development)
Pouring Success (Mentoring Education)
Día de los Muertos Celebration
Plinko (interactive learning activity)
Popping Perfection (Site Visit Preparation)
Magnet Town Hall
Weekly Farmers Market

Beyond these engaging initiatives, the Magnet Ambassadors regularly presented at staff meetings, rounded on all shifts with their Sonoma County cart, and brought fun, interactive education to their colleagues. Their dedication and creativity helped build enthusiasm, reinforce Magnet principles, and prepare staff for the site visit.

Their tireless efforts culminated in Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa achieving its first-ever Magnet designation—a historic accomplishment that places us among less than 10% of hospitals worldwide and as the first in Sonoma County to receive this honor.

The Magnet Ambassador Committee worked relentlessly to elevate our organization and is more than deserving of this prestigious recognition. Their passion, leadership, and commitment to excellence have left an indelible mark on KP Santa Rosa, and we are incredibly grateful for their contributions.
