Mai Nguyen, RN

Mai is a wonderful nurse who showed wonderful compassion and empathy towards me. I had been inpatient for 9 days and was sincerely missing my children, who were at home with Dad. She encouraged me to talk about them and turned my tears into sadness into initiative. I resolved to get stronger by walking laps on the unit. She also encouraged her team to remember me on my actual birthday. Mai coordinated in getting me a cake for my 48th birthday. Mai had a student nurse with her on Saturday. She is a natural teacher and mentor. Mai anticipated my needs and is an excellent role model as a staff nurse, preceptor, and leader. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
