Majella was a monumental staff member in delivering our daughter’s care! She was immediately friendly and asked how she could make us more comfortable. She made us feel that we were staying at a hotel, thus forgetting we were actually in a hospital room. She quickly established rapport with our daughter and interacted with her frequently causing her to forget about all of the wires and pokes.

Majella was knowledgeable and really advocated for our daughter to help her receive the best care. She listened to me and my concerns – educating me along the way. Her singing and playful games meant the world to my daughter. Majella demonstrated extreme professionalism and patience every time my daughter wanted to shift positions while she had her EVD. She responded within seconds, and I never had to ask her to adjust the height.

The morning my daughter was to have her EVD removed, I heard her voice as the nurse shift was changing. I cannot describe the relief I felt knowing she would be there while my daughter experienced this procedure. Thinking about hearing her voice as I woke up that morning brings tears to my eyes. Her performance during this procedure was extraordinary. I will never know how she was able to assist the surgeon and comfort both my daughter and me. Her service to this hospital is truly exemplary! I see that she is a team player in her interactions with the other staff members. Nurse Majella – is truly an angel to our family.
