Working with Makaya is like a fresh breath of air. She is constantly checking in with staff and patients to see if there is anything she can do for them. She treats all staff with respect.
During a recent code, she and another nurse quickly responded to this patient's needs and took care of the patient from beginning to end. Makaya stayed calm and constantly asked what more she could do to help.
Even when the day starts to get overwhelming, she holds her head high and pushes through. She does her job with pride and is truly an example of values we strive for here at EMCH. I want to thank Makaya for being so compassionate about her job and to thank her for making this a better place to be.
