Makayla Ravenscraft, RN, BSN

Makayla went above and beyond with her COVID patient. This patient was admitted after a C-section as a floor decline. She was ultimately intubated and required ECMO. After being decannulated and supined, Makayla made an effort to talk to the patient's husband about her previous births and breastfeeding. Despite the time frame from delivery, Makayla found the patient's breast pump and with consent from her husband, began pumping in hopes that the patient would produce milk. By the end of her shift and several sessions later, the patient was producing milk! Makayla is amazing and went well beyond to help this patient and her baby.
