My granddaughter was admitted to the hospital due to the flu and MCADD. During her hospital stay, Makayla went above and beyond to make sure my child felt as comfortable as possible and she was very reassuring and supportive to me as her caregiver. She took extra time to talk to my child about dogs (her favorite subject) and even braid her hair!! I noticed this nurse staying long past her shift to complete her charts probably because she spent extra time throughout the day trying to attend to the needs of all of her patients. She has a beautiful attitude and willing spirit and when she needed assistance with our IV machine that kept beeping, she didn't hesitate to ask for help and make every effort to quiet that machine! (eventually, it did stop) All that being said, our stay was so much better than we imagined, and we will always be grateful to her.
