April 2026 Honoree
Malaika Ferguson, RN
Even though things did not look so good, Malaika was a real uplifting person. She encouraged my husband to try to eat. She was funny, professional, and cared about him. She was even concerned about me.
There were times when I needed to talk, and she took the time to listen. It wasn't easy for me, as my sister just died recently. I was able to express myself with her; that meant a lot to me. She was caring and professional. She encouraged my husband to get better and to do more.

Thank you, Malaika, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
