Malerie Pelizzaro, RN

I witnessed Malerie taking a great deal of time with a patient who was very difficult to deal with. The patient was upset and threatened to leave the hospital. She convinced the patient to stay and was very compassionate and caring towards the patient. She made the patient feel like someone actually cared about his well-being and what he was going through. I have two sons who battle the same illness as this patient and if I could choose a nurse for them, it definitely would be Malerie because what I witnessed when she was caring for this patient was nothing short of amazing. It actually brought tears to my eyes. It’s too bad we cannot clone her so that every patient with this illness can have a Malerie on their team.
