Mali is a great nurse, especially with her patients. She is kind, compassionate, and goes above and beyond with patient care.
On the occasions I have assisted Mali with patient care, I have seen her go above and beyond in making sure all the needs of her patients are taken care of. She tries to have all their teeth brushed before bed, brushes their hair, holds their hands and listens, on top of all the other nursing tasks.

One patient in the COVID-19 unit had a huge knot in their hair and Mali worked for a couple of hours wearing the PPE and I believe with an N-95 to get that knot out. Anything that they might ask of her, she always listens and tries to help out as much as she can. Not only is she great with her patients, but she is also so incredibly helpful with her co-workers. When COVID-19 started, Mali was asked to train and help out as a charge nurse. Her skills, helpfulness, and kindness during this new task have been incredible. I noticed any time a co-worker felt overwhelmed with a new admit or needed supplies while they were stuck in a COVID-19 room she was there, wanting to help. I personally wanted to say thank you to Mali for all the times she has helped me and that is why I nominated her for a DAISY Award. Mali is a great nurse, especially with her patients. She is kind, compassionate, and goes above and beyond with patient care.
