Malinet Garcia, RN

Malinet is the most compassionate nurse I have ever worked with. She consistently goes above and beyond expectations for the patient. She has been known to visit patients on her day off and she helps with discharge calls to all of our Spanish-speaking patients. Most recently Malinet spent a tremendous amount of time educating a Spanish-speaking patient on her possible communicable condition to ensure that she answered all of her questions and prevent her from exposing others. This patient wasn’t assigned to Malinet but she was more than willing to assist as needed. Malinet never gets frustrated or shows that she is busy. She is never too busy to help a patient, visitor, or co-worker when she is needed. We had another long-term patient that Malinet always made time to visit and bring shrimp cocktail to as that was always what he was craving!
