Being a leader in the midst of a pandemic and constant change is a tough position. Sometimes this change brings to light the strengths of an individual. That is the reason that Mallory is a DAISY Nurse. I am continuously impressed by Mallory's calming nature and ability to lead and support staff. Just recently we had two situations that Mallory was involved in as House Supervisor. First, she came up to talk to a very difficult family. I could hear her from my office as she offered solutions to help the situation but also her ability to make sure that the solutions she offered would still support the nursing staff in the tough scenarios they were facing with the family. Another situation was when we had a code and death on the unit. Mallory lead a debrief and offered true support to the staff in an emotional situation. I would like to thank Mallory for her support, inspiration, and continued ability to provide guidance and positive examples of a leader to staff.
