May 2023 Honoree
Mallory Kern, BSN, RN, CBC
From the first second we arrived, Mallory greeted G (birthing parent) by the right name and gender. For a trans person, this was so important, and right away G felt safe because of her. Over our stay, Mallory went above and beyond to make sure G was okay and felt like family. Mallory's personality, dedication, and work ethic are a shining example of the gold standard of care that anyone could ask for.
***
Mallory was kind and the second I came in she used the correct pronouns (names and terms) that I set aside. She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and cared for. She was there when I had questions and provided the answers that made sense and explained further if I didn’t understand. She was perfect and made the birth of my twins the best one I could ask for.

Thank you, Mallory, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
