I wanted to share with you a story I heard this morning from a patient who had surgery here at Winter Haven Women's Hospital.
Ms. S called me this morning to share with me her experience at WHWH. Ms. S is a 77 year old retired Registered Nurse. She stated that in all of her years as a nurse and a patient she has never been treated as well as she was treated here nor had she ever been in a hospital as good as Winter Haven Women's Hospital. She stated "I can't say enough about the nursing unit and the nurses! I couldn't be more pleased with my entire experience". She went on to tell me how both "the day shift and night shift nurses were excellent and the best thing is they both really listened to me".
"The day nurse was Mallory Meyer; she made me feel so comfortable! I never had to ring the bell. She always asked about my pain and made sure I did not need any medication. I told her my back was hurting, unrelated to the surgery, next thing I knew she brought me an ice back for my back. She was so attentive and caring."
"This was definitely one of the best experiences I have ever had in a hospital you should be so proud of your nurses for the caring and compassion they provide to the patients".
