Mandi cared for my grandmother while she was on the rehab floor and always made sure that her needs were being met. One instance in particular stood out to me when Mandi came to me and said, “Hey, the doctor mentioned changing a medication, but it wasn’t done today. I’m going to be off for the next few days, but I wanted to let you know so that it doesn’t get missed. I know this isn’t your job, but I just want to make sure your grandma has the medications she needs.” This interaction showed me how much Mandi truly cares and values her patients, so that even though she was going to be off, she still felt that it was her duty to ensure the patient's needs were taken care of, even under someone else’s care.
