June 2023 Honoree
Mandy Evans, RN
I am a first-time mom and I was absolutely terrified when I went into labor. Thankfully, the staff was kind and helped me give birth to a beautiful baby girl. However, one nurse in particular, Mandy Evans, went above and beyond to make me feel loved and supported from the first night I was there.
I was struggling with breastfeeding and she came in anytime I needed help to show me tips, new positions, or just support me. I was very emotional and felt overwhelmed by this new journey, and Mandy could definitely tell I needed help. Anything I had doubts about, she would show me step-by-step how to do it - including swaddling, baths, and more.
Mandy is a genuinely amazing person. She even came to wish me good luck and give me a hug before I was discharged. She is a blessing to all the new mothers she helps. She understands them and makes sure they are supported as much as the baby is!
