Mandy Feleay, RN

I actually have had a running joke with Mandy about her having “clouds” over her head, as she very often ends up having the most challenging assignment on our unit. Whenever she works, Mandy takes it all in stride and maintains a good attitude, which along with her strong work ethic, enables her to provide top-notch care while being under quite a lot of stress. Mandy does speak up for safety, especially if the status of her patient changes, which can happen suddenly. Mandy is an exceptionally well-qualified and a highly-skilled nurse, who is a resource for others. I have often been in awe of her grace under pressure. Mandy gives her all to each and every one of her patients but must also judiciously prioritize when she has heavy assignments. The greatest praise I can give a nurse is that I would want her/him to care for me or my family member. I can certainly say that of Mandy, and she is definitely an unsung hero in our unit. Mandy deserves the DAISY Award!
