She was my voice when I couldn’t have one.
I was admitted into the ICU for Sepsis with a rare liver disease called Congenital Hepatic Fibrosis. Mandy helped to save my life. The doctors could not figure out the strain. I couldn’t breathe, my organs were shutting down, and my BP was 60/40. She pushed for the right doctors to come in and care for me. She was my advocate every step of the way. She was my voice when I couldn’t have one. She would explain everything that was going on in a manner that I could understand. She is the most compassionate and patient nurse I have ever had - believe me, I’ve had a lot. Not that other nurses weren’t great; they just weren’t Mandy. Three years later, she still checks in on me. I truly feel as though she was an angel sent to make sure I pulled through. I am a liver transplant recipient, and I am so grateful for the guidance she provided me not only during one of the darkest times in my life but along my entire journey. She goes above and beyond the call of duty. Every patient she encounters is blessed because they are in the best hands possible! I will be forever grateful!
