My father fell and fractured his C4 and C5. He was in for four days. My father had moderate dementia, so he was scared and agitated. Mandy knew how to calm him down and address his dementia. The family decided to do Hospice. We were all scared. Mandy was absolutely amazing. She was kind and compassionate. My father responded to her voice. He seemed to understand she was taking care of him.

The family did not understand the hospice process, and Mandy took the time to explain what she was doing and why. I looked for Mandy each day when I left because I wanted to thank her for her care that day. When I left on Monday, I thought we were moving by my dad the next morning, but my dad passed away early Tuesday morning. I told Mandy that she was an angel to my dad. I was sorry to be moving him away from her care. I cannot express how amazing Mandy is. I felt so grateful that she was the special person who cared for my dad up to the end. Mandy is the definition of an extraordinary nurse. You are lucky to have her at your hospital! And we were lucky to have her.
