Mandy received four nominations for The DAISY Award in Quarter 3, 2020. This is just one of the testimonies to her extraordinary care:
My husband was admitted from ER with chest pain and elevated blood pressure. The next day around 7 am, Mandy, his nurse for the day, took immediate action, and was on the phone with the doctor multiple times. I could not be there until 9 am. She did an amazing job talking us through what was going on and what they were trying to do to treat it. I know that is all in a day's work for nurses. I am recognizing Mandy for her actions that followed. My husband was taken to the Cardiac Cath Lab on Sunday. Mandy had 2 other patients return from the Cardiac Cath Lab at the same time. Never, not one time did I ever feel like my husband was not her priority. I cannot speak for the other patients, but we never felt like we were being neglected nor not getting her full attention. She was amazing at making my husband feel confident in his care. She did not cut him any slack. She educated him on smoking and his diet. She made sure to check and double-check, all of his meds and settings on the pumps. We never saw her stress and our care was first class!! My husband hated hospitals but because of Mandy and her care, it made it easy for him to be here. My husband is now scheduled for a bypass and he is looking forward to having Mandy as his nurse again.
