Manisha Pradhan, BSN, RN
I am honored to recognize Manisha for her exceptional dedication, compassion, and leadership as a nurse. Manisha consistently goes above and beyond in her role, making a profound impact on both her patients and her colleagues.
Manisha is a lifelong learner who holds herself accountable and is always eager to help. She volunteers readily and takes initiative in ways that elevate our entire team. She currently serves as:
• Chair of the Unit-Based Council
• Member of the CAUTI Committee
• Think Lift Champion
• Skin Auditing Champion
• Preceptor and Charge Nurse
• Peritoneal Dialysis Champion
• Creator of educational videos for new staff
• Organizer of team bonding activities
One of her most inspiring contributions is her focus on patient engagement. Manisha collaborates with Physical Therapy and Volunteer Services to create joyful experiences for patients outside their rooms. For example, she organizes mobility activities in the lobby using limbo sticks, turning routine therapy into a fun and uplifting event.
Her compassionate spirit shines through in the small moments, from singing to patients during turn team to ease discomfort, gathering staff to sing "Happy Birthday" to patients celebrating in the hospital, and even using her phone as a virtual candle for them to blow out. These gestures bring warmth, dignity, and joy to the healing process.
Manisha embodies the full package: she is deeply engaged in enhancing patient care through education, committee work, and a joyful approach to nursing. Her leadership, creativity, and heart make her a truly deserving candidate for the DAISY Award.
