Manpreet is not only an excellent student academically, but she also shines in the clinical setting. Her clinical instructor has raved about her emotional intellect and ability to meet her patients at their level. "On Manpreet's very first clinical day, I observed her sitting on the side of an elderly patient’s bed, assisting with breakfast. Her patient had some communication difficulties, so she was attentively asking direct yes or no questions about what on the breakfast tray the patient wanted to be fed. She maintained excellent eye contact at the patient’s eye level and supported her vulnerable patient’s autonomy. On her very first day of patient care, her care emphasized some of the best qualities of far more experienced nurses- compassionate care, preserving dignity, and supporting self-advocacy. I am so excited to see the future nurse that she will become."
