In the two episodes that Mara introduced herself to me, I can tell you that her kindness, her calm, her courage, her experience, and her professionalism immediately emerged. One day with her on the night shift at 22:00 I began to feel pain and discomfort. Despite the strong confusion in the ward (as it was full and I was not the only one feeling sick) Mara was able to help me control the pain with drugs and often she used her words and her firmness to help me get through that terrible phase. She never left me alone. She also gave me directions on how to stay in bed, how to breathe, how to control pain with my mind. I felt treated like a son; she took me by the hands and treated me with her heart.

Despite the pain, I was able to notice all of her qualities. I want to thank her openly for everything she did for me and above all, I want to emphasize that thanks to her help I have survived the following days. Thank you very much, Mara. I will always be grateful to you and I will take your advice with me.
